Tange was brought up on Disco, Motown, Northern Soul, Funk & R&B. After a rock era in his teenage years and the discovery of Soundcloud, he discovered House music and EDM. This opened the door to the possibility of spinning his favourite records while also performing and jamming in the set on both guitar and bass. The building of his rig up and live set has taken the best part of a decade to perfect.
The sound of Tangerine Bandit is shaped by two decades of rhythmic mastery as a musician and his transition to the DJ booth brought a new dimension to his craft. Each novel live set takes a trip into the past of the classics we know and love, with a sonic twist here, mash up there followed by dance-floor bangers. Tange is always crate digging & releases a mix every quarter on Soundcloud.
THE JOURNEY
Tange formed Purple Snake Collective with fellow DJ and friend Bonesey and Premier League DJ - Carlos. They are known for their exquisite taste in Funk, House, Disco, Soul & Remixes. They can be found gigging throughout the North & can be booked for club & bar nights. The 2026 festival season sees Tange play Stand In The Light (22nd - 25th May, Lake District ) & Rising (26th-28th June, Worcestershire)
